Dettifoss - Iceland (via ystenes)
Dettifoss is the European waterfall with the highest energy content (Height x flow). The river drains the north side of the Vatnajökull glacier, hence the flow is particularly strong in the summer, when tourists are around. Because the river passes an area formed by large ash volcanoes, the water appears gray or black, and the erosion caused by transported material is so strong that no vegetation is able to get a foothold.

Blue Oasis (via Ben H.)

Photographer Comments: “Dark storm clouds approach a steaming pool of intensely (and naturally) blue water. This pool is part of a geothermal oasis surrounded by a vast expanse of desert in the Icelandic highlands. Taken in Hveravellir, in the Kjolur region of Central Iceland.”

About

I generally will not reblog any image if the poster does not credit the artist or photographer. And I refuse to follow those that are generally too lazy or selfish to give credit. __________________________

Found a great word that the English language greatly needs. I like the word enough that I named this blog after it and it seems appropriate since this blog tends to feature the human form of both genders.

The word is XYE. It replaces the s/he or he/she that most people stumble over.

Instead of using s/he or he/she consider using xye. Xye is the gender-neutral reference to the third person singular. Xye is the gender-neutral singular form of they.

When himself or herself is not proper because of a question of gender, one should use xyeself.
